A cycle path runs alongside the Bure Valley Railway between Aylsham and Wroxham.
This is a permissive path owned and maintained by Broadland District Council and is wholly independent of the railway. The railway makes no warranties as to the condition or suitability of the path and cyclist use the path at their own risk. Any issues should be reported to Broadland District Council.
The line is approximately 2 miles from the
Norfolk Broads Cycling Centre and can be reached by cycling along a quiet country lane, joining at a level crossing.
Just outside Aylsham the railway passes through a tunnel underneath the A140. The path goes above and requires a crossing of the A140. This can be a very busy road with fast traffic, please take care!!
Upon arrival at Aylsham Station why not enjoy a refreshing drink or a bite to eat at the
Whistlestop Café.
Cycle racks are provided outside the Whistlestop Café on Aylsham Station.
Before setting off on your return journey why not have a look around the workshops or watch a train depart on its journey to Wroxham.
Should you not wish to cycle back, but take your cycles on the train, cycles are accepted on our trains. A
charge for cycles does apply.
